New to this

Im thinking of building from scratch and have no experience, I used to build landscapes for farming models but never got adventures enough to add a moving railway.

So i need to know about good starter packs or second hand sets available

Hi. Like you, I am new to this forum; and like you, I am starting from scratch.

Personally, I have acquired nearly all of my trains from eBay. But, caveat emptor, as they say. Look for reputable sellers (e.g. high score with over 99.5% +ve feedback). Sure, I have had a few bad experiences but there is a lot of really good stuff out there, often brand new. If you are in doubt about anything, you can get back to me via the 'Private Messages' button.
