Hello John,First off welcome to the forum. Initially I used Christmas tree lights for the interior of the buildings on my layout but these get hot and have to kept away from the plastic so I changed them to bright white LEDs which I got on EBay for a Buy Now price of £3- 50 + postage For 20 including resisters he does a buy 2 get 1 free deal, the item no is 160316925801 as stay cool and have a long life there ideal, I have also used them for street lights and with the aid of fiber optics for lights in cars. I Hope this helps.
