Good evening everyone.

I have a question and I wonder if anyone knows the answer please.
On my layout I feature strongly, because I collect them, Lorries with the BRITISH RAILWAYS livery, which is fine, because I do have a goods yard and shed.
But I saw the other day in 1/76 scale, which is just right for OO gauge, a lorry in the British Railways livery from Base Toys and it is a BMC, not a MorrisCommercial, or an Austin, a BMC.
I cannot honestly remember if by the time they were on the road, British Railways had ceased to be and it was British Rail in which case it would be National Carriers that took over the British Railways fleet.

Anyway I bought the model, if it is not correct for the period I will put it in my display cabinet.

Thank you

Pete.:)

Hi Pete, British Railways was from 1948 to 1969, BMC was 1952 to 1966.
Although BMC cars and light commercial vans where named Austin, Morris, etc, The larger commercials often came with the BMC badge so it would be alright for your layout. regards, Brian.
