Just finished my track laying and wiring so thought I would post a few pics of my layout so far.

This is the scenic side

The station and goods sidings. I plan to extend the platforms under the tunnel slightly to give the illusion that they are a lot longer than they actually are. I plan to have the station buildings above with a covered stairway dropping down to each platform. I am yet to find something in kit form to serve this purpose.

That's very impressive Richie, you have some nice rolling stock there to, Did you have much trouble wiring the crossover? I tried wiring a single slip and gave up in the end, putting in points instead.

As I did the layout in DCC, all I needed to do was to add a reversing module to two of the connections, all the rest were just hard wired. I will post up a diagram at some stage on what I did to achieve this.

hey ritchie ... that looks great - iv got my 3 x boards built - am struggling with the method of joining them together - iv got the metal locating dowels - just need to find a way of a clamp or something to hold the boards together and then i can start to layout my track in the way you've done to see whats possible!
yours looks great!. iv got a peco double slip that im totally confused as to how to wire for dcc - dont know if i have to use isolating fishplates or not!. wish peco would get a bit more up to date with their wiring diagrams and recognize that some people actually do use dcc nowadays!

Yes, you will need isolating rail joiners for all points etc. I will see if I can find a wiring diagram for you. Once you get the hang of DCC wiring, it is pretty easy.

EDIT: check out this link and go for the reversing unit as it is mauch easier and needs no user intervention when operating
