I have a lift out section in my layout I have got it so that it is sturdy and placement is accurate with locating pins etc, The tracks are laid and ready to hook up. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to transfer power across the gaps. Asthetics is not an issue as the lift out section is part of the fiddle yard section of the layout, Many thanks

Hi
Depends on how many individual circuits are to pass onto the section?
For a smaller amount of circuits 5 or more pin DIN plugs and sockets can be used.
For a larger number of ways (Circuits) then 'D' connectors are ideal.

Use individual flexible wires made up into a cable or suitable flexible multicore cables to connect into the plug(s).

Example of DIN plugs....DIN Plug (http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=944&OrderCode=HH28F)
Example of 'D' connectors SUB D Connector (http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=1113) Covers (Shells) are needed as well for these.
