Hello all
Just to let you know that, after several years of inactivity, Twickenham & District MRC's G Scale group has started work on a new layout. The group are planning to build a new "scale" model railway in G rather than a traditional "toy train" tail chaser - this makes the Club's project somewhat different to most G Scale layouts you see at exhibitions
T&DMRC has had a G Scale layout for many years, but the baseboards were showing their age and they were very heavy! The Group are now planning to strip the existing layout - build new ultra lightweight boards - and re-use all the old track, buildings etc. This way the Club should get a NEW layout very quickly.
