Further to work background I am well aware of the problems of induced voltages occuring in low volt control circuits due to the problems caused by the proximity of other wires carrying a different voltage, current or load.
I dont want to spend a lot of time running the various circuits to find that the track dcc bus becomes adulterated and dependable operation cannot be guaranteed.
Has anybody had such problems and what is the best way to combat them.
l would be really grateful for any advice. Many Thanks.

Hi
There isnt normally any problems on a DCC bus with interference.
On long bus wire runs twisting the two cores to around 8 - 10 twists per Mtr will prevent any induced noise.
The other alternative to twisting is to space the two bus wires apart by approx 40mm or more.

The use of terminator filters will also help where the DCC signal isnt all it should be, or from the occasional short circuit spike. A 150 OHM 2 watt resistor with a series connected 0.1uF ceramic capacitor make up the filter.

Thanks Flashbang its nice to be able to proceed with peace of mind. I've nearly finished purpose built insulated 22ft x 12ft shed and about to embark on huge multi-deck dcc and computer controlled layout so you can imagine the spend curve.
