Clay Hills International is a fictional location, influenced by several real life locations, with a dash of artistic licence thrown in for good measure.

October Objectives Recap & Review:
Continue laying more track: In particular the lower level. More track got laid.
Just not in the preferential lower section.

Get the initial control panel into place and working. Done! A really good start on the panel has been achieved. Now to build around it.
Fix Percy properly, or have the parts on order at least. Yeah... oops.
Make a start on foundations of the top layer. I have the plans for the foundations forming in my mind. They're more complex than I originally thought.

November Objectives:
  • Actually fix Percy. That said having looked at replacement part prices. It's cheaper to just buy a whole new locomotive... o.O
  • Begin building the foundations for the upper level.
  • Make a start on the double track suspension bridge kit bash.
  • Build the baseboard section around the control panel, extend the track appropriately & sort the final plans for the programming track.

Weekend update:
  • Motor ordered.
  • Foundations begun.
  • Discussions with a friend about the best way to cut the plastic pieces of the kit bash, had.
  • The control panel baseboard section, directly joins up with the upper level, so with the foundations for the upper level begun, the control panel baseboard section is also on track!

Quite a productive weekend if you ask me!

Just a quickie, because I'm excited. I have ordered what I hope will be the final large board required to complete the main baseboard. There are still some other fiddly little bit's to cut and sort, but for the most part, the main loops of track will eventually done.

Weekend update:
  • Motor has arrived. Not quite what I thought I was ordering. Somewhat disappointed about that. But will properly assess the problem when I can have Percy in hand to see if it's workable.
  • Foundations ~90% complete. There's one central spine brace to go into place.
  • The great bridge kit bash has begun. I'll start a new photo album for it.
  • The control panel bottleneck baseboard is done!

Weekend update:
  • The motor is significantly different to the one I thought I ordered. I don't think I can work it into the chassis. Somewhat disappointed. Will just be ordering a new Percy I think.
  • No further work has been done on the foundations.
  • The Great Bridge Kit Bash is paused, whilst I find a proper hobby saw to do the cutting.
  • The bottle neck board is done, I have the minor incline ready to go, I just need the planned points for the section before I can continue with more track.

So a weekend update:

Progress has been non existent this week & weekend.

Work has been busy and I've been knackered most evenings. The weekend had me under the weather.

That said, I'm feeling better today and I want to crack on with the under level and get things moving!
