I'm sure you can adapt it to make it enjoyable for you; just a matter of getting it as you want it. As for aging,, well it's much better than the alternative.

For me it's a Bachmann class 37/0, which has sound and is weathered and renumbered. It runs on dcc and is slowed down. It really growls as it accelerates slowly.
