Hi Growler, We are off the beaten track near the Scottish Border about 20 miles East of Gretna. It is lovely here our cottage is near the top of the hills next to a valley which is a picture in it's self. Looking across the valley are hills covered with pine forest and behind those you can see the hills (snow capped right now) across the border of Scotland. This has to be one of the most beautiful parts of the country. We were so lucky to find this house and we found it by accident after looking at another one which we did not like a few miles away. We decided to go for a drive around the country lanes came around a bend and my wife shouted,,,, " I want it."
So Here we are. Been here 3 weeks now and still unpacking. Enjoying every minute.

Sounds lovely. You are a wise man, if a wife shouts "I want it" it's always a wise move to get it

Thats what my missus said about our last house and we stayed there for 24 years! We both wanted this one after looking at several so should be here a while.

Your new home sounds idyllic John, well done.

Thanks all for the kind words and yes you would be welcome for house warming but not yet. Let us get properly sorted out first it still looks like a warehouse in some rooms. John
