I thought it was very impressive when all three stopped between Cowes and Ryde - it is the end of Cowes week, and the Red Arrows were a bonus. I had read that the three Cunard ships were due in this morning, so checked when they were leaving - they never stay in dock for long, so made a note that the sail-away was between 5.30pm and 6pm.

The answer to your question HB - was yes.

I have a number of these webcams listed in my "favourites" - most of them are in the US - as WTD knows, the cam at Miami Airport can be impressive - watching an A380 Airbus take-off. Most of the cams in the US have sound, and the Miami Airport one is linked to ATC - sometimes it's better than watching TV.

I do look at that occasionally, added it as a shortcut, and also get emails daily from QHM Portsmouth. Thanks PP

I followed my next door neighbours travels last year - towing an oil rig at 2-4 kts from Africa to Norway using the ship version of AirRadar24. It took him weeks.

cadman - yes. they use 1938 tube stock on the island line. Its the only stock that could safely navigate the ryde tunnels... I think its intended to be replaced with D stock at some point. its well worth a visit.
