Default Modelling the British Rail Era

I am approx 20 pages into Modelling the British rail Era by Ian Fleming, Steve Flint, Ken Gibbons & Jeff Taylor and have to say I am finding it both interesting and informative.

I am a newbie in the world of model railways, in fact railways in general so the history in the front of the book explaining what happened to our railways from the early 60's to the 90's has been an eye opener for me.

If like me you have no real recollection of steam and your interest lies in electric and diesel in the BR era this is a must read and there are some great ideas in the book if you are modelling this era.
