At the end of the day a smaller layout is better than none at all. The effort and hassle will be worth it in the end. Good luck with it all Chas.

I have moved my layout from the loft to the spare bedroom. However quite a lot is still left up in the loft.

I have found items on the layout in the bedroom, which faces south east, are very much affected by fading. Items in the loft are not affected in this way. Worst affected are Hornby Scaledale items.

I have fitted a good blind on my window to block the early evening sun.
