I've got a big tin of red oxide undercoat spray paint - should look a bit like professional weathering (not). R-

Wandering round Hatton's site this morning and see they are selling the blue Mallard with TTS sound fitted for 85. Can't be bad for that price.

Hi Graham
When it comes to engines, and other technical things, I haven't a clue. A sheer guess says that it's a DELTIC?

Ok, the engine is a Maybach MD 655 they were fitted to class 52 WESTERNS

The engines are V 12s and turbo charged, two were fitted into westerns with hydraulic transmissions.

A Bachmann Northern Belle class 57 which has no place on a 60's layout but very nice. I'll pretend its a prototype like Falcon or something.
