Hi Roger
That link eventually takes you to martinbottbooks
I very nearly got the 1st edition part one from there for 15 +pap
In fact there are a few shortlisted books in his shop that could well find their way into my collection. Very nice range of material in there!

But I took the link from WTD.......
Unfortunately that item is no longer for sale.
Thanks for helping me out!

It looks like the combined edition as now sold it was 10 and the first book on the page.
At that price no wander it went quickly.

Cheers WTD!

Here's the reason the book was sold.........
Thought delivery would be quicker, but hey ho, it arrived and I'm over the moon!

You're welcome to a read! After all it was sort of your fault........

I'm very happy indeed, already loads of snippets of information that should help with a more realistic approach to my layout! Then there are the period pictures on top! Aaaand a load of drawings.....I mean a load!
And that is all based on a cursory glance over a coffee.

(Thanks guys for your efforts, but nothing short of a complete scan could really do, of course that's after the event! Now I'm actually holding the book....)
I was happy enough to work with those pictures you sent, but there is extra detail I can see, overall, this book is a goldmine!

And I got it for a steal. 11 + 2.50 pap

Really pleased I asked the question now!
Thanks.

One happy rookie.

Looking at other prices for the book, one was 72 quid you got a real bargain.

Cheers,
I knew it was a bargain!
I was prepared to pay the 15 plus pap for the first uncombined edition.
I think the only difference is the fold out drawings are on regular pages.

As the book was described, it said it could have writing in it etc. I am yet to see any!
So it is better than described. Ok, that 75 might net you a mint copy first edition, not really a collector, so for a modellers reference I can live with a sun bleached spline, it'll match my bookshelf!

It is really useful for the small details in the pictures......odds and ends around the stations etc. plus odd little passages of text. (At the moment only those relating to fairford, because that's where I'm focused, well, just a few miles east.)
But for real fans of the era/line, you'd all be more excited than I!

WTD
That's a genuine offer too. You are welcome to a read, with thanks! (From me!)

I found mine in a charity shop in the coswolds and its been the most useful model railway book I've ever purchased. I made Tetbury goods shed on my layout from it.
