nothing regarding the layout build, but i can squeeze in some more on the length, we have a couple of slim bookcases either side of the window, and if i rotate them by 90 deg, i can gain another foot, and i can increase the width to 2.5m, so overall size will be 3.4m x 2.5m, with a bit of luck i should be able to make a start on the baseboards next week, today i made a mobile base unit for the router table, so things are progressing slowly, and the tablesaw is performing very well, although i had to make some adapters for the extraction system, rolled up plastic sheet and duct tape, that stuff is a godsend ,cheers,

E-Bay have a nice plastic tube with a wire insert for workshop machinery 1 1/4" up to 4" in Diameter, several of my hand machines use the same piece 3m in length like a extension lead.....

So true Gary about the size, but I would only be able to extend if the Grandsons took their board home with them and the whole idea was to have a layout for them so they would be able to play and if they wanted to add scenery and things. I am happy enough now with my layout, but secretly want the Grandsons take theirs and I would be able to have an L shape 10' x 8 x 3', now that would be my ideal size and the possibilities I would have with that.

The entire barrel is less than 1mm in diameter. I've got some bits that would probably suffice to drill them out. But I'm not sure I'm capable of doing it, without stuffing up either, the model, the bits or my fingers... or more likely a combo job of all three...

I'll try to get you a picture of them with a ruler or something so you can get a better understanding of the scale...

I have finally got around to removing my workbench area to create a seaside scene with its own station which was initially just going to be a fiddle yard, when I first started. So here are a few pics I have taken. I still have a lot more to do though.
