Fairly common practice to swap bodies. Iíve done so several times with steam locos. Fancied a lined green version instead of black.

As John suggested it might require a little modification inside.

Thankyou WTD,the R240 should be with me middle of next week, the only thing that worrys me is I will have to cut the wires to the pantographs on both trains, will this affect the dcc fitted r3365?,it doesn't run off overhead lines on my layout

I take it you like the East coast livery. I am not sure but looking at picture the 2 locos and chassis look the same I am I am sure somebody who knows more about the locos will be along. soon to put me right. I am more a steam man myself.
All I can say is if it were me and I wanted to change a body for the livery I would get a standard chassis and convert it myself.. Think that would be cheaper option.

Yes John, change of plan, after a bit of research, seems its easy to dcc the r240,i have just ordered the dcc chip and some nylon screws to do it,yes I do like the class 91's,i have four, two in virgin livery, one in the east coast livery and now one in the intercity swallow livery, along with a hst in virgin livery, soon to be followed by a GWR liveried hst,as GWR is what runs close to me
