Default Couplings and uncouplers.....

Good evening every one. I am not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes......

My lay out is mostly straight lines which enables me to use very close coupling and realistic looking coupling hooks. I am a sucker for punishment and like to uncouple wagons with out touching them, so in my dinner break today I made an uncoupling hook for my models.
It is a 1mm piece of hard wire, bent at the end with a plastic WD 40 straw on it and a piece of metal rod, knurled and then polished before super gluing into place.
I did not want to risk any of my wagons in the oily environment of our factory so I rigged up a couple of make shift cardboard ones lol

Pretty good. Some people make them by sticking the wire in a biro. Also seen them with an LED to aid uncoupling in poor light.

Love the LED idea I was worried about seeing some of the couplings. I will see if I can fit one.

A good idea and it would be better with the light if you intend to simulate night conditions.
