Phew! I was sweating buckets there as I have all three types to try and see which stays the course in my garage environment . Which do I like the most???? Those that take least time in the transfer to the model. That is it suits me .

Check out the couple of storage sheds from my Pen y bryn layout, the one on the left is printed brick paper, the other one is plastic corrigated sheet, I think it works ok

Not that it's very clear, but this is the Metcalfe Main Line Station (card) with additional "wings" to the building, but it has been fitted with a Redutex textured roof and fancy ridge tiles. Redutex sheets have, of late, been hard to come by - they are made by a Spanish Tile manufacturer. They are easy to cut and fold and are self-adhesive (peel-off backing sheet).

BB it looks very good, its certainly a big station.
for me the card kits are better as its something to build with a certain result but also allows for fairly easy modification like BB's station to make something more unique.

Looks very grand BB, well done. I do think Metcalfe are the best of the card kits.

Thanks chris DB4 and TWD. The one thing with the card kits, as has been said previously, they lack texture. SteveM recommended me to Redutex, and it is good stuff if you can get it.
The station is internally illuminated - even the clock! Barry

Those buildings look perfect to me. I have used both those methods and I have used Redutex, which gives an amazing look to a building, but you have to get up close I think. No longer available from within the UK, but you can get it from Italy for 6.57 a sheet - plus 14.88 p&p. Hmmm.... R-

Limited supplies still available here:

I recall they had loads on their stand at Warley last year. I’ll check out the stand at Ally Pally this weekend if I remember.
