All fettled and primed, waiting for paint. Removed the seam down the top of the body and also added the front steps.

Well done. Steps should be at the front behind the buffer beam.

On some of the models they were attached to the bogie.

If your layout has tightish curves the steps can foul the bogie, I think that's why in early days they were part of the bogie.

I did wonder about that, it hasn't got a front bogie as yet so can't check, bidding for one on Ebay.
