Hi, The arrows are where track can be attached but I suppose you could call them buffer stops.
I haven't marked out where the station is but Broadway Station would be on the right where there is a bay platform with 2 running line platforms nearby, the top is supposed to be the yard where there is a loco shed and coaling point this is below the running lines but above the 3 sidings that will be for freight etc, I have attached a signal box diagram of what I am trying to achieve, the reason for the 'S'Bend at the bottom is to accommodate a door that opens inwards however I have a door above on the diagram that opens outwards so may run the 2 lines at the bottom of the diagram/jpg around the wall across the door as it doesn't need to be used.
appreciate comments and any advice on what I can do to improve it, am getting an idea on layout then will need to look at all the rest.
P.S. Have kept it all on one level as that is how it is as far as I know.

Don't forget the trap point in the top siding and the little spur acting as a trap at the entrance to the triple siding. We don't really need these on our models but it is a nice touch to add to make it look more like the prototype.
Its actually a good plan you have there.

Cheers yeah will add those trap points defo, just getting idea on basic plan then can work on it and fine tune it, want to try and get it as close to the plan as possible, have downloaded some pics from the 50's of the station etc with trains running through with pics of station, would be nice to get it looking similar, once track plan decided will need to work out wiring plan for dcc etc !!!
Long Road ahead but an enjoyable one

Am impressed how you've got it to fit in the space available and kept the character of the track plan. Well done.

Hi Banter. If you follow the normal convention of trains "driving" on the left you have not provided any opportunity for them to change to the inner loop and the same holds true for anti-clockwise unless they reverse.

am happy with that as there is an 'Up' and a 'Down' Road so no need to change to the other loop and am sticking with the Signalbox Diagram. Thanks for info though.
