Default Yard Lights - and smaller!

Following on from Luke's excellent video about making lights from bag feet I thought I would have a go. This is as far as I have got at present. The one of the left is an 8mm (with a 2mm tower LED) and on the right 12mm (with a 3mm LED). Bert's there to provide scale - and tidy up a bit. Need to find the right styrene tubing now. R-

Default Yard Lamps - Version 2

After several failed attempts with the styrene version I have gone for an all brass construction, utilising the metal of the pole and cross bar as a conductor, thus reducing the need for so many wires to be concealed in the tubing. (Thanks to SteveM for the idea). R-

That's better. I bet you can still find a way to disguise those last couple of wires.
There you are, challenge made.

What I am thinking there Steve is using a bent paper clip to form a V into what will look like a bracket using the heat shrunk wires as one side of it. R-

Not done anything for best part of a week now as SWMBO and myself have been hit by severe colds. Might make a start tomorrow.

I think you're right, Roger. It needs something to look as if the arms are supported in some way. I would perhaps extend the upright tube about 1cm and put the paper clip wire in an inverted V.

I have today, ripped out my old DC control panel, and have started wiring in the droppers for DCC. I was going to use 7/0.2mm wire, but some of the runs may be over 300mm, so I am using 16/0.2mm wire.
