Should anyone come across this Electrotren piece, complete, but with or without
box, no matter, I would pay double plus duties plus shipping to the USA. The obscure jars are clay olive oil jugs or amphorae. Sometimes the rims were painted cherry red. Please note, there is a lot of nice Electrotren stuff floating about out there, but this is THE one I am seeking, no others. electrotren olive oil wagon.JPG Oh crud, let me see if I can make the image bigger than a thumbnail: Well, if you double click the image it enlarges suitably. Anyone know any history on this piece? The amphorae seem rather spur of the moment. electrotren amphorae.jpg

I had truly given up on ever finding this piece. In 1975, we toured parts of Wales and London. It was in Wales, I believe, that I found this Electrotren amphorae 3 plank wagon.
I had it for many years, and it found its way out to El Paso, and just from this, and one other piece from 1966, when we lived in Shiplake, I decided right then to resume British model rail, in or about 1991. Promptly thereafter, some movers came in and threw everything upon a bookshelf into the rubbish. I actually climbed into and made a desperate search in a dumpster looking for the thing. Thank Heavens they didn't toss the 1966 Wren. Since 1991 I have been searching and searching for this treasured piece. It reflects many happy days lived in the UK, or holiday, thereby. I cannot thank you enough for finding this piece. My sister and I combed every conceivable place in the USA, tried overseas a couple of times, and no one seems to have heard of it or recognized it. I was wondering if it was some one off done by a Electrotren employee on his or her break. I slapped my money down so hard on that piece that the tranuniversal satellite link, no doubt, shuddered. I cannot well enough express my profound gratitude. That it is British by a loose association only, is of no concern. It reflects many happy memories of Britain.

After 27 years of searching, finally it came home! Feel as though I discovered the Atocha.

That's the one! Only my "Atocha" rolls on wheels. A true oddity, I doubt
anyone ever shipped around clay jugs around like this, now or ever.
