Default Lima Class 55 Traction Tyres

Hello I am fairly new to model railways. I have a Lima Class 55 that requires new traction tyres, would any body know if the Hornby class 55 tyres fit the Lima version or if not where can I source Lima spares.

Many Thanks

Default tyres in the making.

Hi,Roley I have made new tyres for an 060 shunter buy using elecrtical shrink sleeving,.Use a size that is a bit bigger than your rims,(you will need to take the wheel set off to make these,) Carefully cut the sleeving wider than the rim, gently heat the sleeve onto the rim(a hair dryer can be usful for this) then carefully trim the new tyre so that it fits into the reccess.Be cautious if you have plastic wheel centres???? Using heat shrink does need practice ,good luck.K.S

Hi
Many now use BullFrog Snot in place of traction tyres.
Its a liquid (with an awful name!) that is like a soft rubber when it sets.
