Re: Second hand track particularly points in 00 gauge for a newbie

Hi Andy, If you are interested I have some Lima track (STEEL) connects to Hornby & Peco code 100 Setrack. 12 x straight N/3020, each piece 220 mm. long. 15 x curved N/3030, radius 360, arc 36 degrees, i.e. 10 pieces per circle. Inherited but surplus to requirements. Cleaned and works fine with Peco ...

Re: New build

Why not try wire in tube to change points - it saves money and I use them to lessen wiring as a newbie plus I like the manual changing - the feel of them clicking into place - mind you, I’m both weird and a cheapskate! Don’t want to repeat too much but flat baseboards are so important. Hope you sti...

Re: Nearly finished project

Came out better than I hoped. My next job is to try my hand at the Scalescenes canal boat. The worst I can do is muck it up. https://i.postimg.cc/JDcBpb5Q/lock-6.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/vxYxkcPw/lock-5.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/kRgDwL4n/lock-2.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/sGxD5S6x/lock-1.jpg Many thank...

Re: Steam Trains to Sovereign Street.

A serious question: Why does nobody depicting railways in Britain ever (I've never seen it) show puddles down the side or roads or on roads/tracks by the side of lines as if it has been raining? Unless it is the height of summer there's usually somewhere that still has a puddle! It's the one thing ...

Scale Speeds

Help please!! I'm at (friendly) odds with someone who has posted a video on Facebook. How long should a "OO" scale train at 90 mph real speed, take to cover a 1/76 scale mile? My "O" level maths says 1/76 x 1760 = 23.16 yards. Sadly as it's past wine o'clock brain  refuses to go any further :o...
