Re: Saturday morning treat

The model was started in the 1970s and is an exact copy of pulborough station as it was in the days of steam. It has been exhibited all over England. The real station is still very much in use and has a preservation order on it. The layout is DC. Puddles https://i.postimg.cc/Vr6Lj6r2/B3-BE981-D-986-...

Saturday morning treat

Had a nice morning last Saturday, a full scale model of our local station was on display in the local hall. Every thing was hand made, all the rolling stock, steam trains, railway lines and buildings. A real treat to see. https://i.postimg.cc/c6XfFHmF/6-DA62-A7-D-1-D3-A-41-CE-9486-B156091-AC3-E9.jpg ...

Re: Like this scene

Managed to find the burnt out guards van last week.
It is a start to replicate the scene when I start re building my layout.

Re: Steam Trains to Sovereign Street.

Crimmies, sweating nitrogylcerin, you say. How did you have the presence of mind to recognize this exceedingly volatile substance? When I first started working in the film industry I attended a training course at Kodak in Hertfordshire where we were educated about all the aspects of working with fi...

Re: Steam Trains to Sovereign Street.

Most ambient, terrific work. I recall the days when B & W was a high art form in the silver nitrate days, and spending hours and hours trying to get it just right. Had a scary moment. First started developing 16mm black and white film back in 1968 on nightwork processing the rushes ready for the mo...
