Re: LED Striplights

eBay do them for around £50.00 for 6. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2FT-3FT-4FT-LED-Batten-Tube-Linear-Light-Tri-Proof-Surface-Panel-Ceiling-Lights/283212418499?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D57152%26meid%3D1d010be09dfb47a4af078463239cf4b0%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D12%26m...

Re: Chinese Roads!

Must admit we were looking to drive to Montpellier near the French/Spanish boarders later in the year & it would involve the Millau Viaduct & that is a high one. Depends what route is taken & how brave we are feeling. lol

Re: LED Striplights

I would look at changing the tube 1st as florys can lose up to 40% of their light output over 4-5 years. We had a regular contract to change 3 local library's every 4 years & using a light meter we get a good 30% on average increase on light levels. The staff would notice straight away the quality. ...

Re: Chinese Roads!

As normal, we are behind with so many things in the UK & always ends up costing so much more. Look at Brexit, we could of quite likely built half the HS2 with what's been wasted in the last 3 years on this mess up. And the London cross rail link is an absolute joke. I have a few friends on LT & DLR ...

Re: Any bikers on the forum?...

Used to do some trials riding back in the early 80s for about 3 years “but i wasn't that good” & a friend & myself went to see a one of our club meets in Middlesex just as spectators. So just before the meet started a Japanese guy turned up but as he didn't have the right credentials, so they gave h...

Re: A new tractor

Never mind, I’m sure you enjoyed the tractor while you had it. Does look rather nice. Lovely garden you have there. It was fun while i had it. But if left too long without use the clutch would grip very quickly with no slip & lift the front wheels a good 12 inches + of the ground. Not good for the ...

Re: A new tractor

I was looking at a similar tractor a few years back for the back garden as its around 90x20meters & around 2/3 i used for growing wild flowers. This was quite an interesting thing to do as one of the things that many wild flowers don't like, unless looked at carefully is grass. Grass tends to be the...

Re: Dashcam

Dash cams are a great idea. I have a Nextbase one & I'm really pleased with it. One thing to watch out for, is many cameras data log your journey & also log the speed. So watch out for this as you could also drop yourself in it if you was a few MPH over the speed limit. The nice thing with Nextbase ...

Re: Kings Lynn Model rail show June 22 2019

Years ago many things we visited were all free to get in assuming there was trade stands selling things. This was also the same with country fairs & alike. The reason being that the trade stands would cover these costs. Now the organisers want money from both ends & seriously push it to the ridiculo...
