As I have outlined before I am incorporating an 009 gauge section with my 00 gauge main area. Using the Bachmann Baldwin loco. on one stretch of track I am planning to use a girder bridge with the 009 portion, crossing over the 00 gauge track. What gauge bridge should I use? Connecting different gauge wires for bus line

I am installing a 30ft. section of 009 gauge track with a DC locomotive. Can I use some scraps of 14 gauge wire for part of the bus line, and then 18 gauge for the rest of the bus line? I would solder them together. Start with the 14 gauge from the transformer, then finish with the 18 gauge. I don't...

Re: Locomotive advice

I like the look of the Smallbrook kits. Where do you get the appropriate chassis? I am a novice when it comes to building loco kits.

Re: Locomotive advice

Among other items Dundas recommended Roco HO9 locomotives and rolling stock. Is anyone familiar with this brand, and any comments?

I have been soldering a lot of wiring so can solder it together. Also what wagons are recommended? Thanks for your input...

Source of trees

In addition to making them myself, what are good sources of trees, less expensive the better? Thanks

Coal mine buildings

I am considering putting an 009 gauge area on my larger 00 gauge layout. One of the mine top buildings I am considering is the Faller Fortuna Mine Buildings. Here is a link to it: https://www.eurorailhobbies.com/product.asp?mn=8&ca=18&sc=HO&stock=F-130944 As it is HO scale would it look out of place...

Re: Layout ideas

I am familiar with the Knightwing kit. What others are there? I would like one with a " winding wheel" at the top. Appreciate suggestions.

Here are some pictures. I welcome ideas for the blank space. I already have a village, station, and industrial area.
