Re: Cutting out the second tier

i think you are missing the point. It wont buckle, maintaining its diameter. It is certain to cause a derailment, in a place you cant reach. Sorting it while you can, is the way ahead.

Re: Cutting out the second tier

Soldered fishplates, make no allowance for expansion, and have been known to buckle rails. If they are in a place not easily reached, this makes for a difficult repair. Just my view, having learnt from bitter experience. I did this with my first DCC layout, and had to relay track.

Re: Home-building control panel

I think mine is grey, too cold to go and look. I have a Guagemaster as well, but personally, prefer the Morley.

Re: Home-building control panel

Morley hand held units are Brilliant. You get 2 with controller, can flick between, and can buy extensions. Great piece of kit.

Could be they are more interesting than other topics at the moment. Certainly, caused some interest Not a bad thing, for a bit of light relief. Probably run its course, though. I will make my next post about trains.

Re: 2021 Releases

BB, agree it will be 2 rail, but it appears to have the 3 rail body, as again, they appear to still have the tooling.
