Re: Joining "thin" wires

I have joined quite a few thin led wires simply by twisting them together and then applying an appropriate sized Heatshrink - absolutely no need for a soldier iron and providing you make the Heatshrink long enough to adequately encapsulate the pvc coating, then this acts as the strain-relief and the...

Re: Maltkiln Road/Ensbury Park

That is really coming together very well - lot of interesting detail to catch the eye....... quite a few man hours spent working to get it to this stage, but really nice results.

Re: Westerns Code: 4D-003-013

Almost a year ago I bought new Dapol Class 52, D1016 Western Gladiator in Maroon livery ( 4D-003-017)....., excellent loco in every way, but notably slower than my Heljan Class 52...... I have a Lenz 21 pin decoder fitted but this loco is near the top of my shopping list for a quality sound decoder....

Re: Painting and Weathering Service

Steve,

Making very good progress my friend.......the roof in particular really looks much better with the grey colour and the body work looks great where you had earlier challenges with the original markings.

Keep up the good work - cheers Richard

Re: Hornby Artemis and dynosis detailed

Very nice and plenty of space for long trains and realistic HST sets......

If you don’t mind me asking, what sound chip have you got fitted in the class 47 ?

Thanks for sharing the video - Cheers Richard

Re: Great service during lockdown

Ordered 5-off different items on Friday and they shipped free of charge and arrived in Scotland this morning...... if you order 5-off items you get a pack of a...

Re: Painting and Weathering Service

Hi Steve, Nice Class 31 picture card you have there :D ........ might have a project or two coming your way in the not distant future - still trying time decide whether to sell one or two locos that no longer fit with either of the era’s I have chosen to model, or repaint and keep them ( aka Class 3...

Re: Trimming back scene (too tall)

I initially purchased an ID Backscene for my layout but I just could not seem to get it to mesh with what I had in mind....... I have since switched entirely to the Gaugemaster range and have been very pleased with them - I have 3-off sets installed and another ready to go after I do some other layo...

Hans Zimmer also penned the scores to “Gladiator” and “The Last Samurai” amongst others......pretty famous in Movie soundtrack circles and up there with the likes of James Horner and John Williams....... for what it is worth.

Re: Securing Metcalfe models on baseboard

I am sure I read somewhere that Metcalfe were restarting production this week, but clearly there will be a lead time to replenish stock at the retailers.
