Re: Quiet railway stations

Intersting article. I do like to read about quiet stations. There was a great BBC radio documentary about them a few years ago which sadly is not available at the moment. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00vhhcf I remember one of those featured was Teesside airport station. Which despite being nex...

Re: Stupid Boy!

Yup! Did it the other day. I bought a loco on ebay, paid, then got the order details. ETA mid-January. It's coming from Japan!
I know I searched for the loco UK only. 😱

Re: Dead Locos

They never were startlingly good runners, but do run OK enough for use on a layout if they're on a continuous run. Not so good for shunting at low speed, but it can be done.
I have a few locos of that age that run OK, and they're easy enough to strip and rebuild.

Re: G F tender locos

Steam locos can be made that run beautifully.
Union Mills pick up one side on the tender and he other side on the loco, which I think is called the American system. The wire they come with connecting loco and tender is bit thick, and I have replaced them with finer wire to no ill effect.

No problems logging today.
YES! Lousy for finding a general item. The old one let you sieve down from N->era->wagons etc. The new one is pants. Never mind Rails of Sheffield will profit.
